Honor 200 Series: Key Highlights and Features
We are well aware of the lineup because the phones were introduced in China. You can read our earlier, in-depth analysis of the Honor 200 lineup here. The series’ distinctive design is its primary selling point. Each phone has a pebble-shaped module that has a wavy design that gives the device a stylish appearance. Thus, the gadget sticks out thanks to its distinctive style and upscale appearance.
Honor 200 and 200 Pro: Design, Specifications, and Pricing
Honor has always experimented with several design languages. This time, the rear side features a pebble-shaped camera module. Furthermore, the phone has a wavy texture that makes it stand out. The design difference between the Vanilla and Pro is minimal from the back. However, on the front, the Honor 200 Pro has a pill-shaped camera cutout, while the vanilla has a punch-hole design. Both phones are available in a number of colors.
Both phones have a 6.7-inch OLED display. They boast a high refresh rate of 120Hz, resulting in a smoother experience. The Pro model stands out in terms of camera performance, thanks to a 50MP proprietary H9000 sensor. This 1/1.3″ shooter is also utilized on other phones, such as the Magic 6 Pro. As a result, this sensor should produce camera quality comparable to that of flagship models. The camera configuration includes a 50MP telephoto lens and a 13MP ultrawide lens. The vanilla model offers comparable telephoto and ultrawide shooters but a subpar primary 50MP camera. On the front, both have a 50MP selfie camera.
One of the camera setup’s main highlights is the collaboration with Harcourt, a legendary French photography studio. They introduced the new Harcourt portrait mode, which aids in the creation of studio lighting effects through the use of artificial intelligence. This portrait mode allows users to capture high-quality portrait photos.
The Honor 200 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Generation 3 chipset. The Honor 200 sports a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor. Both CPUs are quite powerful and capable of handling a wide range of tasks, including gaming. Both phones have similar 5,200mAh batteries and support 100W wired charging. However, only the Pro version supports wireless charging at 66W. The Pro also includes the Honor C1+ chip, which allows for enhanced wireless and cellular connectivity. In the software department, both phones run MagicOS 8.0 on Android 14.
The Honor 200 series launches on sale in China on May 31st. The Honor 200 costs CNY 2,699 ($372) for the 12/256GB variant. While the Honor 200 Pro is priced at CNY 3,499 ($483) for the 12/256GB variant, Honor has also set a series launch event for June 12th in Paris. In this event, we will learn more about global prices and availability. Until then, more details may be found on Honor’s official website.
