In the coming months, Motorola plans to introduce a new wave of smartphones, especially in the mid-range market. The brand, known for its presence in international markets, is expected to launch a group of Moto G-series smartphones that is preparing to be unveiled. Through various leaks, we already know about the Moto G24, Moto G24 Power, and Moto G04 smartphones. Now, reliable tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore has shared details about the upcoming Moto G24 in partnership with Appuals. With no surprises, the leaks confirm that the Moto G24 is targeting the budget-friendly market.
Moto G24: Full Specs
The Moto G24 is a budget-friendly smartphone designed for users who want a simple experience. It features a 6.56-inch IPS LCD screen with 1612 x 720 pixels (HD+) resolution. The display has a smooth 90-Hz refresh rate. There are thin bezels on the sides and top of the phone. Notably, for its price range, it’s a bit chunky. Interestingly, this budget phone has a punchhole in the middle for the selfie camera. The phone follows a familiar design with a matte finish for all the color options.
The Moto G24 is expected to be powered by a MediaTek Helio G85 processor, which is built on a 12nm process. This processor comes with 2 powerful ARM Cortex-A75 cores clocked at 2.0 GHz, 6 efficient ARM Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 1.8 GHz, and a Mali-G52 MP2 GPU. While the chipset is a bit old, the 12nm manufacturing process makes it energy-efficient. In terms of performance, it is a good choice for everyday tasks like social media, web browsing, and media consumption. In terms of gaming, that will obviously depend on the game. Given the specs, casual gaming shouldn’t be an issue with this hardware.
The Moto G24, like most low-end devices, will include a microSD card slot for additional storage expansion. The handset will come pre-installed with Motorola My UX, which is based on Android 14. The Lenovo-owned brand will include a dual-rear camera configuration, including a 50 MP primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture. The primary sensor will be combined with a 2 MP secondary macro sensor with an f/2.4 aperture. An 8 MP selfie camera with an F/2.0 aperture will be included on the smartphone for selfies and video calls. Unfortunately, there is no ultrawide camera, which is a common issue at this pricing point.
The smartphone measures 163 x 75 x 7.99 mm and weighs 180 g. The fingerprint scanner on the phone will be located on the power button. Dual nano-SIM compatibility, a 3.5mm headphone jack, Wi-Fi 5, and Bluetooth 5.0 are among the connectivity capabilities. The Moto G24 will have a big 5,000 mAh battery, and fortunately, charging will be fast at 20W. Motorola will use Dolby Atmos to tune the smartphone’s audio.
Moto G24: Pricing
The Moto G24 will be available in a single configuration, with 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It is a budget smartphone priced at €169. Some customers will not think this is a very low price for the specifications supplied here. Pricing is expected to vary by market and location. The handset will be available in black, pink, and green color variants. We expect Motorola to reveal more information regarding the launch and availability in the coming weeks.
